THANKS TO HAZLETON'S CARGILL EMPLOYEES & THEIR FAMILIES

Cargill Employees

Thanks to the many Cargill-Hazleton employees (and their family members) who volunteered their time in honor of Earth Day 2012 to help us establish a small fruit orchard within the Butler Township Community Garden. Together we planted 15 fruit trees, over three dozen berry shrubs, and several grape vines.

Interested in becoming a Tree Tender?

We need volunteers to help maintain our orchard. Tasks include pruning, watering, and fertilizing. All tree-tenders are rewarded with a share of the harvest. We'll teach you what you need to know...just give us a call (570-578-5903) or email kschneider@digclds.org.

Help us grow our orchard!

Your generous donation will help us grow the fruit orchard within the Butler Township Community Garden. Either download and fill out an Orchard Donation Form and send your check to us via mail, or donate online via PayPal below.

Fruit tree donations can be made "in honor" of a loved one, and will be marked with an engraved garden plaque. Orchard donations make great gifts too, so if you want us to send you a gift card that recognizes the donation you make in honor of a friend or family member, we can do that too!
